The "RFID overmoulding" cooperation project, which was launched in 2014, has been concluded successfully. The goal of the project was the fully automated integration of an RFID tag into plastic parts made from thermoplastic or thermosetting materials in the production process. We were able to successfully develop and try out an innovative production technology that fulfils the high mechanical engineering and process technology requirements as well as those on the mould, the plastic material and the RFID tags.
